dGB Earth Sciences are the developers of OpendTect open source seismic interpretation software system and:

OpendTect Pro

OpendTect Pro is closed source and provides a commercial layer on top of the OpendTect base with additional functionality for professionals and a mandatory requirement if commercial plug-ins are required. Read more…

Additionally dGB have developed a number of commercial plug-ins for the OpendTect Pro platform:

Dip-Steering plug-in

Dip-Steering plugin allows you to create and use “steering cubes”. A steering cube contains at every sample position the local dip and azimuth of the seismic events. Read more…

Faults & Fractures plug-in

OpendTect Pro supports many attributes, filters and utilities for imaging faults and fractures. We have now combined all these tools in a new commercial plugin called the Faults & Fractures plugin. Read more…

Fluid Contact Finder plug in

(formerly CCB) Fluid Contact Finder is used to detect subtle hydrocarbon-related seismic anomalies and to accurately pinpoint gas-water, gas-oil and oil-water contacts. Read more…

HorizonCube plug-in

HorizonCube is a game-changing technology that impacts every level of seismic interpretation. A HorizonCube consists of a dense set of correlated 3D stratigraphic surfaces that are assigned a relative geological age. The technology was initially developed for sequence stratigraphic interpretation and as such was part of the SSIS plugin where it was called chronostratigraphy. Because the technology has a much wider application range the HorizonCube became a separate plugin in v.4.2. Henceforth SSIS is an add-on to the HorizonCube that focuses on sequence stratigraphic interpretation and Wheeler transformations.Read more…

Sequence Stratigraphic Interpretation System

SSIS is an add-on to the HorizonCube. SSIS supports Wheeler transformations and sequence stratigraphic (systems tracts) interpretations based on chrono-stratigraphic horizons from the HorizonCube. The HorizonCube consists of a set of densely sampled 2D or 3D horizons that follow seismic events. Each horizon in the HorizonCube represents a (relative) geologic time line. With the HorizonCube slider we can interactively add/remove chrono-stratigaphic horizons from a display of a seismic section. In that way we can reconstruct the history of deposition in (relative) geologic time. This tool is also extremely useful in cross-correlating events between wells (see Well Correlation Panel plugin).

SynthRock plug-in

A forward pseudo-well modeling and probabilistic inversion package with profile module, stochastic module and HitCube inversion. Read more…

Velocity Model Building plug-in

Pick velocities from prestack gathers and semblances in vertical update- and horizon-consistent update modules. Read more…

Well Correlation Panel plug-in

The Well Correlation Panel (WCP) plugin allows to pick well markers and correlate these from well-to-well, using seismic data to guide the correlations, in an interactive viewer. Provided the user has access to the HorizonCube, the HorizonCube slider can be used for detailed correlations. Read more…
